Enamel Pins!

Recently, I had an opportunity to flex my creative muscle in a new way! I have worked with HollyAnne from https://www.stringandstory.com/ for several years. One of the first projects I did with her was creating the logo and brand identity for String & Story, which is featured on my main portfolio page. Since then we have created several fun swag items for her customers.

HollyAnne runs an online course called Free Motion Quilting Academy, where she teaches her customers the essentials of free motion quilting. She was interested in offering a special swag item to the students who complete the course and hired me to design some enamel pins.

I have never made enamel pins before but I didn’t let that stop me from saying yes to a new design challenge. I did some research and found a template linked in a youtube video from Becky at The Pink Samurai which I adapted to suit our needs.

After sorting out the design requirements for enamel pins and collaborating with HollyAnne on what the final design of the pin should be, we needed to find a place where she could have them produced.

After a brief google search we stumbled upon https://tower-press.com/ which we were pleased to discover is a woman run printing shop local to us in Atlanta, GA. It was an easy choice to go with them.

HollyAnne was pleased as punch with the pins and so are her students. It was super fun to get out of my comfort zone and design something new. I’m glad I said yes to this project!

Here are some shots of the final product:
