We started by understanding the assignment process in the existing product interface

We discovered that testers oriented themselves by an object’s relationship to a user and there were two use cases for assigning objects.
A device/phone number that’s currently unassigned (spare) and a device/phone number that’s currently assigned and must be updated
We designed a type-ahead dropdown for admins to easily find what they needed and assign an object from one user to another without unassigning it first
